Business update 05.01.2021.

Firstly, Happy New Year to you all.

We are sure that you will be aware of the new national restrictions that have come into place once again. As per the previous ‘lockdowns’ The Government have confirmed that the renewables sector can remain open, including jobs that involve working within peoples homes.

To help meet your requirements Wagner Renewables are staying open for business and continuing to ship goods to installers across the U.K. There are some changes to the way that we are working;

Quoting & Ordering

We now ask that if your enquiry is not urgent you drop an email over to your usual contact or info@wagner-renewables.com. Some of our team are working from home but we try to ensure that all emails are answered within 24 hours. If your enquiry is urgent we do still have team members answering the phones and you can reach us on the usual number 01243 641830.
If your order does not require any design work why not check out our online store? You can sign up for a trade account to get your usual pricing, as well as ‘pay on account’ this will be managed the same way that you are used to. We also have a request a quote function allowing you to build and order to be checked by one of the sales team.

Our warehouse team are still working hard to ensure that orders are fulfilled with daily next day shipping still available. Due to current guidelines on safe working we ask that you give us as much notice as possible to pack your order. Our cut off time for next day shipments is now 12pm due to the increased demand on the haulage and courier services we use. If your order comes through later than midday we will endeavour to get it shipped but we cannot guarantee this.

Deliveries

All deliveries are now ‘non-contact’ however there must be someone available to accept the delivery. Our couriers and hauliers will only attempt delivery once. Undelivered goods are automatically shipped back to us. Any failed deliveries will incur a re-delivery charge and redelivery will not always be the next working day. Please let us know the name and a contact number of the person accepting the delivery if it is different to who we may have on file.

The previous restrictions regarding premium shipping services has been lifted. However some hauliers now have restrictions on international shipping.

Collection

Customers wanting to collect their order will need to follow current social distancing guidelines. Face coverings must be worn when you are dealing with our warehouse team. We are currently asking that customers do not enter the office without either calling us first or talking to one of our team (you can always wave through the window to get our attention!). Hand sanitiser is available throughout our premises.

Installation services and customers

To reduce the contact between our team and our customers we are continuing to offer desktop quotes. These are accurate quotes that are put together using the information you have given us along with Google Earth and our solar design tools. If you are still interested in taking the enquiry further we can then arrange a site visit.

The Government has confirmed that we are able to continue working in residential homes and businesses. The team are up to date with the latest guidance and all our team members have face coverings to wear when inside a building. Our team will not be able to accept hot drinks or food from our customers, please don’t be offended if they refuse (don’t worry though we’ve given them flasks). You will receive a communication from our installation team regarding the visit outlining our COVID19 procedures. We are remaining vigilant and if we feel that it is necessary to postpone a job we will do so.

If you are due a visit from a member of staff from Wagner Renewables please let us know if you;

  • Are feeling unwell or are showing any symptoms of COVID-19
  • Have been in contact with someone else who has been unwell, or has since become unwell
  • Have recently been to one of the category 1 countries (as per the list on the Government website)
  • Are self-isolating
  • Have been contacted by the NHS Track & Trace service

If you are shielding please follow the advice in the letter you have received. We fully understand that you may want to change or move your appointment for shielding purposes and we will work with you on this.

We are more than happy to rearrange site surveys and postpone jobs where necessary. The safety of our team, and our customers is paramount.
